This T.O.D. Toolkit is intended to provide guidance on actionable items to achieve transit-oriented development. It presents findings from a cursory review of the comprehensive plans, bulk requirements, and parking regulations for parcels around transit stations that were studied. It highlights areas of strength and suggests areas for improvement to encourage quality transit-oriented development.

The Strategic Plan contains Borough Council priorities and reflects the key initiatives the Borough plans to address over the next five years. The plan's topic areas included parks, recreation and green projects; business district enhancement; infrastructure and the built environment; and accessibility, inclusion, and communication.
2022
The 2022 Safe Mobility Plan is a guide for the Borough of Dormont’s municipal management and Council on what programs, policies, and projects should be pursued to improve safety, accessibility, and mobility within Dormont. This can be achieved by improving Dormont’s walkability.

During this significant planning effort, four main goals become most prudent for the community to consider: (1) elevate all parks and public spaces to civic infrastructure; (2) identify the overall system of parks and public spaces serves all ages, identities, and abilities; (3) create spatial opportunities that are flexible to changing programs and future trends; and (4) balance physical assets with short- and long-term resource capacities.
